Conscious Living, Clean Eating: The Deeper Meaning of Halal
Chicago, IL- Chicago’s own cookbook author Yvonne Maffei will be visiting American Islamic College (640 W. Irving Park Rd., Chicago, IL 60613) to support and discuss her journey to becoming a national icon for the American Halal Industry and her new cookbook: MY HALAL KITCHEN: Global Recipes, Cooking Tips, and Lifestyle Inspiration (Agate Surrey, July 2016). The event will take place in the Reception Hall on Thursday, Nov. 10th. The program will begin at 6:00 pm with a light reception, followed by a discussion between Ms. Maffei and AIC’s director of development and communications, Arshia Ali-Khan, at 6:30 pm. The event is free and open to the public.
Following the discussion, Ms. Maffei will sign copies of her book, which will be available for purchase.
